Business and Intellectual Property Legal Intern

LVLUP Legal is looking to hire a Business and Intellectual Property Intern! As a member of the LVLUP Legal team, you will work both virtually and in-person at our office in Flatiron; however you must be a 2L or 3L law student based in NYC. This is perfect for a law student who would like to work for a modern law firm with clients in fashion, technology, marketing, and lifestyle. 

If selected to join our team, you will learn the internal operations of building a successful law practice by working directly with the LVLUP Legal team to draft and review contracts, conduct legal research, assist with trademark searches, file legal entities, network for business development, and manage projects. You will also learn a significant amount of business and intellectual property law.

Our ideal candidate is comfortable working in a collaborative, dynamic, and fast-paced environment, will bring energy and enthusiasm to their work, can pick up concepts quickly, and can tackle all types of projects. In this role, you will also be encouraged to attend event and meet as many potential clients as possible.

We are highly invested in the individuals we bring onto our team, and the goal is for you to grow with the firm. The ability to obtain academic credit for this role is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, company agreements, business formation documents, and investment/stock agreements.

  • Assisting in legal research and writing.

  • Trademark searches and drafting memorandums for clients on filing strategies.

  • Filing company documents.

  • Attending networking events for the purpose of business development.

  • Pitching to new clients and negotiating business deals.

  • Conducting client outreach, organizing prospects, and sending follow-up emails.

  • Creating and drafting blog and social media posts.

  • Engaging on social media platforms for the firm.

Qualifications

  • Experience reviewing contracts and some trademark exposure.

  • Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to network and speak to clients.

Brand Strategist & Administrator

LVLUP Legal is looking to hire a Brand Strategist and Administrator to help develop, scale, and organize a successful legal brand. This is a non-attorney position, perfect for someone who has experience in business operation and administration, as well as content creation and brand strategy and would like to work for a modern law firm with a focus on clients in fashion, technology, marketing, and lifestyle.

We are looking for someone who has the capability of running administration and operations for our law firm. This includes organizing engagement letters, client documents, sending invoices, managing payroll, and assisting with client out reach and communications.

Additionally, we are looking for someone who can assist with brand strategy and loves all things social media - from finding the perfect trending audio, perusing TikTok and Instagram, to video editing and content creation! In this role, you will help support all of our social and digital marketing efforts across all channels (think: Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) and help create a community through engaging and interacting with followers, influencers, and brands within our niche. Ideally, we would like someone who is comfortable being camera facing.

The position is both virtual and in-person at our office in Flatiron, and you will be required to be in-office one to two days per week. This is a 20-25 hour per week commitment.

  • Work closely with the team to organize our engagement letters, invoices, and client communication through our client management systems.

  • Assist with client intake, prospect outreach, and calendar and email organization.

  • Conceptualize, copyright, executive, and schedule content across all social platforms including but not limited to: Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Email, and LinkedIn - Intern to own daily tasks of posting + engagement for approval.

  • Create graphics for Instagram (stories, Instagram feed posts, reel covers)/Create TikTok’s and Instagram Reels based on content we already have.

  • Maintain knowledge of best practices and engagement optimization techniques for each platform, being able to pivot between different types of content as needed.

  • Attend and plan brand events and workshops.

  • Assist with other administrative tasks necessary.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Asana, Quickbooks, Calendly, Gmail, Canva, and Slack (preferred).

  • Have the ability to adhere to coordinate, communicate, and adhere to deadlines/timelines.

  • Extremely organized and understands how to manage and direct a team.

  • Proficient in video editing.

  • Confidence to pick up concepts quickly.

  • Well-versed in social media + trends on platforms includingg but not limited to: TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest.

  • Time management skills.
